Job summary

Labcorp in Tulsa, OK seeks a Phlebotomy Team Lead to oversee phlebotomy operations across multiple sites. The role includes coverage duties, staff supervision, training and ensuring quality patient care.

You will observe new employees, report findings, and maintain efficiency and safety throughout patient flow. The ideal candidate has phlebotomy experience and a track record of leadership, strong communication, and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
• 6 months or more leading a team.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage and travel to various sites to perform phlebotomy job duties.
• Assist in the supervision of a team of phlebotomists.
• Observe new employee performance and report observations to the supervisor.
• Perform site inspections on a regular basis and accurately report all findings.
• Provide continuous training to phlebotomy staff as directed.
• Complete new hire and annual competency assessments when necessary.
• Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs.
• Address any customer service related issues in a prompt and respectful manner.
• Review daily/weekly schedule with supervisor and making schedule adjustments as needed.
• Promote team work, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers.
• Perform all duties of a phlebotomist and site coordinator as needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Team Lead to work in Tulsa, OK.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday 11:30PM - 7:00AM with rotating weekends and holiday rotation

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of more phlebotomy experience
• 6 months or more leading a team

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more years of experience supervising or leading a team
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training

Additional Job Standards

• Have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years’ old
• In-depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities and techniques
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortably working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
