Job summary

Labcorp in Manhattan, KS seeks a Phlebotomy Supervisor to lead a 25+ member phlebotomy team in a hospital setting. You will oversee patient flow, scheduling, payroll and performance appraisals while ensuring top-tier service to patients and clients.

The role requires a high school diploma and 3+ years as a phlebotomist; supervisory experience and certification are preferred. Travel to additional sites may be required as part of overseeing patient service centers and client locations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of 25+ phlebotomists in a hospital setting.
• Manage patient flow, wait times, and inventory levels and information logs.
• Monitor monthly productivity and report deviations as necessary.
• Coordinate phlebotomists' schedules through resourceful and creative thinking.
• Perform operational duties such as payroll, monthly schedules and performance appraisals.
• Partner with Human Resources regarding employee relations issues and disciplinary actions.
• Hire and train phlebotomists to fill any open positions.
• Communicate effectively to internal and external customers including patients, client office staff, sales team, logistics and senior management.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and clients.
• Assist in the set-up of new Patient Service Centers or Client Offices.
• Provide resolution of any patient or client issues.
• Perform, collect and prepare specimens when needed.
• Travel to additional sites as necessary.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Supervisor to join our team in Manhattan, KS.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 4:00PM work hours and days can vary upon business needs

Work Location: Manhattan, KS

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years or more of experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years or more of experience as a phlebotomist
• 1 year or more of experience supervising or leading a team
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training

Additional Job Standards

• Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Must be at least 21 years’ old
• In-depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities and techniques
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortably working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

As a Phlebotomy Supervisor you will lead a team of Phlebotomists and directly impact the Patient/Client experience. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
