Job summary

Actalent, Riverside, CA, seeks an experienced phlebotomist for inpatient blood collection across all ages, including pediatric patients. The role requires venipuncture and capillary skills, with attention to safety and compliance in a high-volume hospital setting.

You will train staff, support multiple sites in the Riverside region (Murrieta, Moreno Valley, Riverside), and participate in 1st–3rd shifts, weekends, and on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required and CPT 1 license.
• At least 1 year of hospital-based phlebotomy experience including pediatric, ICU, and high-volume settings.
• Inpatient phlebotomy experience required and knowledge of safety/compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques across all ages.
• Support inpatient phlebotomy operations and coordinate with nursing teams.
• Process specimens with accurate labeling, handling, and transport.
• Provide orientation/training for patient service staff on blood collection and safety.
• Work across multiple Riverside region locations and respond to same-day call-ins.
• Cover all three shifts, including weekends/holidays, with flexibility.
