Job summary

Renown Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist in the timely preparation and distribution of medications and IV solutions within a hospital setting. You will enter orders, maintain patient profiles and prepare labeled medications for pharmacists’ review.

The role includes pulling and delivering meds for inpatient/outpatient use, supporting the 24/7 department, and training new technicians as needed. Must be able to work varied shifts with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform job duties safely and effectively.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Pharmacy Technician training program preferred.
• National certification (CPhT) and/or Pharmacy Intern registration preferred.
• Experience in hospital or community pharmacy is advantageous; sterile compounding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter medication orders into the pharmacy computer system and maintain patient profiles.
• Prepare medication cassettes and label medications for orders entered by a pharmacist.
• Pull and deliver medications for inpatient/outpatient use and automated dispensing machines.
• Assist in training new technicians and support 24/7 department operations.
• Work in multiple areas as needed and ensure aseptic technique for sterile products.
