Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Must be nationally certified as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) within one year of hire date.
- One year of related pharmacy experience and/or education equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Pharmacist in providing medication and pharmaceutical services to patients and hospital staff.
- Dose medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Maintain inventory and restock medications and supplies.
- Process records of medications dispensed and enter charges in the computer system.
- Prepare and interpret medication usage reports including narcotics usage.
- Receive and store deliveries and ensure proper storage conditions.
- Participate in CQI and performance improvement activities.
- Aid in pharmaceutical care across age groups from newborn to elderly, consulting Pharmacist as needed.
