Qualifications
Preferred: Experience in hospital pharmacy utilizing unit dose, IV admixtures, and pharmacy computer systems.
Required: Demonstrated customer service skills.
Required: Certified Pharmacy Technician – Oregon Current license must be obtained before work.
Responsibilities
Enter inpatient orders/prescriptions into the computer and prepare labels for medications.
Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
Inspect medications for outdates in patient care areas.
Prepare IVs, PCAs, Epidurals and labels for IV products.
Run fill lists and prepare medications for Cubies or Pyxis stations.
Check in orders, process invoices, and restock medication.
Skills
Proficient computer and keyboarding skills including MS Office applications
Good mathematical and analytical skills
Strong customer service skills including excellent communication skills
Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize workflow in a dynamic environment
Ability to take suggestions, corrections and directions from pharmacists
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certified Pharmacy Technician – Oregon licensed
