Job summary

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is seeking a pharmacy technician intern to assist in preparation and packaging of medications, distribution, and documentation. This casual, on-call role supports inventory and records within the Pharmacy Department at the Johns Hopkins Bayview campus in Baltimore.

Current Maryland registration as a Pharmacy Technician and PTCB certification are required or preferred; a high school diploma and hospital experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of hospital experience preferred.
• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program is preferred.
• Requires knowledge of pharmacy work routines, procedures, materials, terminology, and medication names.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and packaging of medications.
• Distribution and delivery of medications, supporting inventory maintenance.
• Keep appropriate records and documentation.
