SnapCare, a rehabilitation hospital in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team under supervision of the pharmacist on duty. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM with on-call and holiday coverage.

Responsibilities include picking up drug orders, preparing medications, delivering to patient areas, assisting with billing, maintaining formulary, compounding per USP standards, IV preparation, narcotics control, and monthly unit inspections.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State license/registration required if applicable.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification required if applicable by state.
• Previous inpatient healthcare experience required.
• Must have worked in a hospital setting within the last 5 years.

Aufgaben

• Pick up drug orders at nursing stations and prepare medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Deliver appropriate quantities of medication to correct patient areas.
• Assist with accurate billing and crediting of patient medications.
• Maintain drugs in the pharmacy according to Drug Formulary, including ordering, receiving, and storage.
• Monitor doses administered according to Medication Administration Record and narcotics sign-out record.
• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding in compliance with USP 795, 797, and 800 standards and applicable state laws.
• Prepare intravenous (IV) solutions under sterile conditions and pharmacist supervision.
• Conduct monthly inspections of patient care units and areas where drugs are dispensed, administered, or stored.
• Participate in semi-annual pharmacy inventory.
