Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support unit dose, IV admixtures, unit dose packaging, and floor stock maintenance. The role requires medication filling skills and adherence to sacred care standards as part of our hospital team.

Responsibilities include rounding, medication delivery, providing information to callers, aseptic preparation per USP standards, and inventory management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-3 years experience in hospital pharmacy operations is preferred.
• Pharmacy Technician Registration in the State of Texas and CPhT certification are required.
• IV Certification within 3 months of hire (Sterile Product Preparation Certificate, Sterile Compounding and Aseptic Technique) is required.

Responsabilités

• Makes nursing unit rounds and delivers labeled medications, controlled substances, and pharmaceutical supplies.
• Answers telephone and provides information or directs questions to appropriate personnel.
• Accurately prepares admixtures and unit-dose medications using aseptic techniques in line with USP 797/800 and USP 795.
• Maintains documentation related to sterile and non-sterile compounding.
• Manages inventory through cycle counts, stocking shelves, and tracking expiring meds.
• Keeps current knowledge of hospital and departmental policies impacting responsibilities.
