Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Pharmacy Technician (Per Diem) under the supervision of a registered pharmacist to assist in dispensing, charging and delivering medications across patient care areas, including preparation of orders, IV admixtures, and use of automation systems.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, labeling, ensuring aseptic technique, training new staff, and providing accurate nursing unit support. Must be a CPhT and HS diploma, with willingness to work flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• CPhT certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares medications for dispensing under pharmacist supervision.
• Labels IV admixtures and sterile products; maintains aseptic technique.
• Maintains medication inventory and stocking in all pharmacy locations.
• Receives medications and restocks inventory; ensures neat, safe dispensing areas.
• Trains new pharmacy technicians as needed and supports shifts.
