Job summary

Sharp HealthCare seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support Tri-City Medical Center in ordering, preparing, and distributing medications. The role requires IV admixture experience, CA licensure, and attention to sterile technique. You will help manage IV rooms, restock supplies, and ensure safe medication handling.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required.
• IV admixture experience (OP Infusion Center only).
• California Pharmacy Technician License (TCH) or California Intern Pharmacist - REQUIRED.
• Six months hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• CPH T-certified is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe, clean working environment and infection control.
• Scans medications into and out of carousel and C2 safe; restocks appropriately.
• Delivers patient medications to nursing stations (STAT bags, ADM loads, IV meds).
• Prepares bulk medications and non-sterile admixtures using aseptic technique.
• Maintains Clean Room Suite and equipment per USP797 and CA Board regulations.
• Properly stores and disposes of IV meds and hazardous supplies.
• Uses C2 safe and monitors discrepancy reports daily.
• Checks medication expirations in ADM and pharmacy.
