Qualifications

• National certification as Pharmacy Technician and Montana Board of Pharmacy registration as Certified Technician upon hire, required.
• At least six months of active experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent deemed by the board.
• Current Registration with Montana Board of Pharmacy as Certified Pharmacy Technician, required.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist in preparing medications and other healthcare products.
• Measures, mixes, counts, labels, dispenses, and records dosages; makes IVs; receives and verifies prescriptions.
• Purchasing, inventory, record keeping and use of databases and medical software.
• Delivers medications and pharmaceutical supplies to patients, nursing stations or surgery and maintains proper drug storage and security.
