Job summary
Endeavor Health's Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to assist pharmacists with dispensing and filling prescriptions. The role includes entering prescriptions, labeling, inventory tasks, and supporting day-to-day operations in a hospital setting.
The ideal candidate holds an Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician license (IDFPR) and a current PTCB CPhT certification, with hospital experience preferred and evening shifts 3pm–11:30pm, rotating
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician licensed in Illinois (IDFPR) required.
- Current CPhT (PTCB) certification required.
- 1 year hospital-based technician trainee experience preferred.
- RPHT license preferred or required depending on state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Prepares, fills and labels medications for pharmacist authorization.
- Prepare unit doses and load automated medication station promptly.
- Conduct rounds to nursing units and prepare meds for transport.
- Assist inventory management and maintain pharmacy organization.
- Support end-of-day closing and deposit procedures.
