Qualifications

• Florida state pharmacy technician license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• PTCB certification preferred.
• Prior hospital inpatient/LTAC experience preferred.
• IV experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacist in daily operations and prescription filling.
• Enter medication orders accurately into the pharmacy system.
• Process charges and credits for patient medications.
• Generate reports, pick lists and labels as required.
• Answer and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain logs and documentation per guidelines.
• Purchase drugs and supplies following approved procedures.
• Ensure orders are checked in and stored properly.
