Job summary

Cardinal Health manages the pharmacy operations at PAM Health Specialty Hospital of San Antonio Medical Center. This is a full-time Pharmacy Technician role supporting daily hospital pharmacy activities during facility hours, Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:00pm and Sat-Sun 8:00am-2:00pm.

The Technician II, Health Systems Pharmacy assists the Pharmacist with prescription preparation, inventory management, and order processing, ensuring compliance and accurate documentation consistent with regulatory and

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Texas State Pharmacy Technician license required.
IV certification required.
National pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) or ability to obtain within 90 days from hire.
In-patient hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
Pharmacy buyer/purchaser experience preferred.
Pyxis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assists the Pharmacist as needed, as permitted by State Boards of Pharmacy.
Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Input patient data and prescription information into the pharmacy information management system.
Take inventory, place orders, check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves and remove out-of-date items.
Communicate with customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
Maintain knowledge of and abide by all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
