Job summary

Lima Memorial Health System is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing, billing and recordkeeping within the Pharmacy Department and across the health system.

Responsibilities include unit dose packaging, labeling, distribution, IV admixture compounding and floor stock delivery, under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. A high school diploma and Ohio certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification by ExCPT or PTCB is required; valid Ohio Board of Pharmacy Certified Pharmacy Technician registration is required.
• One year of experience preferred, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Strong clerical and numerical abilities, including metric weights/measurements; good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Dispense, bill and maintain records under supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Prepare unit dose packaging, medication labeling and distribution.
• Perform IV admixture compounding.
• Prepare and deliver floor stock items.
• Ensure medication storage areas inside and outside the pharmacy are clean and secure.
