Job summary

The role includes managing medication inventory, preparing unit-dose medications, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while collaborating with nursing and medical staff to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Certified with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• Currently registered as a pharmacy technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining hospital medication inventory and formulary compliance.
• Prepare medications in unit-dose containers with accurate labeling.
• Record refrigerator temperatures and ensure proper storage of drugs.
• Communicate effectively with nursing and medical staff to support patient safety.
