Job summary

Kindred Hospital Tarrant County Southwest is seeking a Pharmacy Technician who will work under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Manager/Director or a Registered Pharmacist, dispensing IV additives, preparing IV solutions aseptically, labeling, and filing charge slips.

Responsibilities include assisting the pharmacist with medication preparation, processing orders, maintaining inventory, entering data, preparing IV packs, and ensuring accurate documentation; must have a high school diploma

Qualifications

• Requires ability to communicate effectively with clinical staff.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain accuracy.
• Good math and science skills.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must have good attendance.
• Minimum 1 year hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacist to prepare and dispense medication.
• Mix IV additive solutions and prepare IV packs.
• Process medication records and enter data in computer.
• Restock shelves and manage inventory.
• Prepare labels and file charge slips.
• Maintain IV refrigerator temperature logs and proper disposal of recyclable solutions.
