Ochsner Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support medication preparation, dispensing, and data entry across hospital departments. The role involves preparing IV admixtures, stocking the pharmacy, and ensuring accurate order entry under supervision. Travel between facilities may be required with a flexible schedule.

Required: High School diploma and Pharmacy Technician Certification; preferred: 1 year of hospital experience and strong computer, verbal and written communication skills.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by state Board of Pharmacy required.
• Preferred - 1 year hospital experience.
• Must have proficient computer and data-entry skills; able to use Windows applications.

Responsabilidades

• Fills medication orders, processes charges/credits, stocks and delivers supplies.
• Prepares IV admixtures and extemporaneous compounds; enters orders into the system.
• Maintains stock in IV room and pharmacy areas.
• Performs clerical tasks and assists nurses and physicians at the Pharmacy window.
• Willingness to travel between facilities and work a flexible schedule.
