Job summary

Wellstar Health System is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to assist in the hospital pharmacy. You will prepare, compound, and dispense medications under direct supervision of a Pharmacist, ensuring accuracy and compliance with USP standards.

The role covers IV admixture, medication preparation, and inventory tasks, including restocking ADCs and supporting safety and quality initiatives within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certifications listed: PHT or CPHT required for employment.
• Experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy operations preferred.
• Familiarity with automated dispensing cabinets and Ga. Pharmacy rules helpful.

Responsibilities

• Medication distribution and IV admixture under supervision.
• Prepare, compound, dispense medications per policy and procedures.
• Maintain ADC inventory, restock meds and ensure proper labeling.
• Generate reports and assist with compliance and safety standards.
• Assist pharmacists with recalling medications and unit restock.
