Qualifications

• NH Certified Pharmacy Technician with the State of NH Board of Pharmacy required.
• High school diploma or GED certificate preferred.
• 1 year of pharmacy technician experience required.
• Sterile compounding attestation from the NH Board of Pharmacy prior to independent sterile compounding required.
• National Certification by a NH Board of Pharmacy approved certification organization (PTCB preferred) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry.
• Assists in routine preparation of medications and inventory management.
• Prepares and compounds non-sterile and sterile compounds, including hazardous medications.
• Calculates dosage figures and stays current with continuing education for general and sterile compounding.
• Assists in prescription filling in inpatient, outpatient, and infusion settings.
• Issues pharmacy supplies to departments across the hospital.
• Maintains clean and organized pharmacy stock and work areas.
• Removes outdated drugs and handles returns or disposal.
• Supports Inventory Coordinator with purchasing and stock control.
• Participates in training and supervision of new technicians.
• Assists with medication area inspections and special projects.
• Operates equipment and maintains manuals; performs routine cleaning and maintenance.
• Performs general clerical duties for the department.
