Tufts Medical Center, Inc. seeks an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician II on a per diem basis to assist pharmacists with sterile and non-sterile preparation, inventory management, and patient-facing pharmacy services. You will operate automated dispensing systems, participate in audits, and support billing and insurance processes.

Ideal candidates hold a CPhT, MA registration, and at least one year of pharmacy-related experience. Hospital experience and an associate degree are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Registered as a Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician and hold a CPhT license.
• One year of pharmacy-related experience is required.
• Preferred: associate’s degree and two years of hospital pharmacy experience.

Responsabilités

• Prepare oral liquids and extemporaneous formulations following formulary sheets.
• Operate automated technology to document sterile and non-sterile products.
• Fill floor stock orders and maintain inventory records.
• Ensure proper storage, stock rotation, and removal of expired medications.
• Restock automated cabinets and manage inventory in patient care areas.
• Conduct temperature checks and ensure clean, organized medication rooms.
• Assist with patient billing, insurance issues, and POS transactions.
• Greet customers and provide pharmacy services, including triage by phone.
