Job summary

Beverly Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, seeks experienced Pharmacy Technicians to join a busy hospital pharmacy team on the North Shore of Massachusetts.

Technicians work under the supervision of a Pharmacist, handling dispensing, IV admixtures, and chemotherapy products, with on-call overnight coverage and occasional weekend rotations. Must have license and certification; 2+ years hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current licensure with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Maintains a valid national pharmacy certification.
• High School graduate with eligible status to work in a hospital setting.
• At least 2 years of hospital or related pharmacy experience preferred.
• Minimum of 1000 hours experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Pharmacy Technicians ensure safe, effective, and timely patient-centered care under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Work with computerized and automated systems for dispensing medications and preparing intravenous admixtures.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdepartmental personnel to promote pharmaceutical care.
• Teach and train other technicians and assist in administrative duties after training.
