Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Level I Pharmacy Technician for our WMC Retail Pharmacy in Winchester. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, you will accurately prepare and label medications, populate Pyxis stations, and support floorstock management to ensure patient orders are filled promptly.

The role requires a High School diploma (preferred) and Virginia Pharmacy Technician Certification or intern certification within 9 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Valid Virginia Pharmacy Technician Certification or obtain within 9 months of hire; or valid Virginia Pharmacy Intern Certification.

Responsibilities

• Delivers appropriate quantities to Pyxis stations and ancillary departments.
• Charges for controlled substances using daily accountability records.
• Delivers all meds in a timely fashion and resolves Pyxis discrepancies.
• Assists in maintaining department cleanliness and equipment.
• Prepares unit-dose packaging and assists pharmacist with QA checks.
