Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Registered Pharmacy Tech in the state where employed.
• Strong communication, initiative, accuracy, flexibility, and cooperation.
• Accurately obtaining, labeling, and repackaging medications as needed.
• Filling and distributing medications through systems.
• Inspecting medication rooms for regulatory compliance.
• Maintaining expiration dates and inventory.
• Operating pharmacy automation and software/hardware.
• Knowledge of medication forms (ER, XR, SR) and high-risk preparations.
• Accurate processing of patient orders and billing adjustments.
• Narcotic distribution responsibilities.
• Repackaging doses with AutoPacker per guidelines.
• Pharmaceutical calculations and safety disposal.
• Training in EHR, pharmacy automation, and computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Operate automation and medication computer systems to ensure safety and efficiency.
