Job summary

Ventura County Medical Center is seeking two Pharmacy Technicians to join the hospital team in Ventura, CA for a 13+ week contract with immediate start. Responsibilities include preparing and dispensing medications under supervision, inventory management, and coordinating with staff to ensure patient safety.

Experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician is preferred, with proficiency in pharmacy systems and a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
• Proficient in pharmacy systems and prescription filling procedures
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
• Prior hospital or medical center pharmacy experience is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision
• Maintain medication inventory and proper storage conditions
• Assist in management of pharmacy operations in line with hospital policies
• Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding prescriptions and patient information
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to pharmacy practice
