Job summary

UNTWN Uniontown Hospital is seeking an experienced Pharmacist Supervisor to oversee daily pharmaceutical care for hospital patients and lead pharmacy staff. The role includes ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing inventory, and supporting departmental and hospital performance improvement initiatives.

The position requires hospital-based pharmacist experience, active licensure in the state, and leadership capabilities to guide staff and ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Must possess current pharmacist license as required by state boards: WV license in West Virginia or PA license in Pennsylvania.
• Five (5) years of hospital-based pharmacist experience.
• Preferred: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily delivery of pharmaceutical care to hospital patients.
• Identifies operational problems and implements improvement actions.
• Ensures controlled substances are purchased, distributed, and documented in compliance with laws.
• Maintains appropriate drug storage locations and inventory levels for formulary availability.
• Ensures items are billed to the appropriate areas to promote hospital financial viability.
• Participates in hospital committees and performance improvement activities.
