• Possession of a Pharmacy Limited (Intern) Permit as issued by the New York State Department of Education at time of appointment and maintenance throughout duration of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Assist a licensed pharmacist in interpretation, compounding and dispensing of medications.
• Under supervision, prepare and package pharmaceuticals and maintain records.
• Review drug literature to assess potential patient incompatibilities with specific drugs.
• Assist in physical inventory and maintain pharmacy records.
• Assist nursing units and distribute drugs to appropriate units.
