Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Pharmacist Intern to support distributive and clinical pharmacy functions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. You'll assist in filling, compounding, labeling medications, and delivering to patient care areas, while reviewing physician orders and participating in pharmacotherapy consults.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an accredited pharmacy program, with second-year progress and Florida intern licensure in place, plus comfort with pharmacy

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a professional pharmacy program at an accredited college of Pharmacy.
Completion of the second year in a professional pharmacy program at an accredited college of Pharmacy.
Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist Intern in the state of Florida.
Able to use computer equipment, databases and related pharmacy office equipment.

Responsibilities

Assists in filling, compounding, reconstituting, preparing and labeling medications and delivering to patient care areas.
Participates in physician order processing, targeted drug programs, medication administration record review and patient profile review.
Assists in pharmacotherapy consult service, staff development and educational programs.
