Job summary

CPS, part of the Optum family, seeks a Director of Pharmacy to lead hospital pharmacy operations at Hendry Regional Medical Center. You will align services with clinical, quality and financial goals, supervise staff, and drive innovative practices supported by CPS software and a dedicated support team.

The role requires regulatory expertise, budgeting oversight, and collaboration with hospital leadership to advance patient care and safety across the facility.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD).
• Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing or ability to obtain by time of hire.
• Active Florida Consultant Pharmacy license or ability to obtain by start date.
• 2+ years of pharmacy management experience or successful completion of a PGY-2 residency.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for pharmacy services within a single hospital.
• Oversee clinical pharmacy practice, medication safety, and formulary management.
• Lead pharmacy leadership and staff including managers, pharmacists, technicians, and support teams.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, USP, BOP and state/federal laws.
• Oversee budgeting, purchasing, contract management and cost-containment initiatives.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to support system-wide patient care, quality, and safety initiatives.
• Drive innovation and performance improvement leveraging data and technology.
