Job summary

Qualifications

• Pharmacist must interpret physician orders and dispense medications.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medication therapy and drug information.

Responsibilities

• Dispenses and supervises the filling of prescriptions.
• Profiles and prepares inpatient medication orders.
• Directs pharmacy technicians and interns in medication preparation.
• Prepares parenteral admixtures and sterile products as needed.
• Maintains compliance with departmental procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Communicates with physicians and healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy.

Education

B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm.D.

Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania (or Boards with pending licensure)
