Job summary

St. David's Round Rock Medical Center is recruiting a Pharmacist to monitor, evaluate, and optimize pharmaceutical care for patients.

You will interact with patients and health care professionals to ensure standard-of-care and safe, timely therapy. Responsibilities include interpreting orders, dispensing medications, monitoring regimens, and participating in clinical services and formulary management within a 200+ bed acute-care facility north of Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Pharmacist license with Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP).
• Experience in hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret medication orders and transcribe to computer system.
• Provide medication therapy and counsel patients as needed.
• Accurately compound and dispense pharmaceuticals.
• Monitor drug therapy regimens for interactions and dosing.
• Suggest cost-effective therapeutic alternatives to medical staff.
• Support formulary maintenance and rational drug therapy selection.
• Assist with clinical services such as drug consults and anticoagulant monitoring.
• Complete notification reports for medication errors and adverse reactions.
