Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center is seeking a pharmacy leader to oversee clinical pharmaceutical care in their practice area and to mentor students and teammates. Qualifications

  • Licensed in Georgia or eligible for reciprocity.
  • Bachelor’s or Doctorate degree in pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school or NABP FPGEC certificate.
  • Hospital experience; PGY‑1 in hospital practice preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees pharmaceutical care and designs therapy regimens from current literature.
  • Counsels patients and caregivers on medications, adherence, and safe use.
  • Reviews medication orders and prescriptions for accuracy and safety.
  • Collaborates with the health care team to manage formulary adherence and medication-use processes.
  • Precepts students and residents; mentors pharmacy teammates and learners.
  • Contributes to medication safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
