• Compounds and dispenses medications according to orders of practitioners authorized by law to prescribe. Supervises and checks work of supportive personnel. Must be knowledgeable of standard pharmaceutical techniques and procedures, laws governing the practice of pharmacy, drug incompatibilities and interactions, pharmacology and toxicology. Job duties include but are not limited to: review of medication orders, clinical consultation, staff education, patient counseling, continuous quality improvement initiatives, pharmacist-managed dosing programs and pharmacy related research.
