GHR Travel Nursing is seeking a Hospital Pharmacist for an Inpatient Oncology Pharmacy travel assignment in Winfield, Illinois. The 12-week role requires active Illinois license, oncology infusion experience, and travel pharmacy background.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois pharmacist license in hand; pending or emergency licenses are not accepted.
• Minimum 1 year of direct pharmacist experience required.
• 3 years of experience preferred for this assignment.
• Oncology infusion pharmacist experience required.
• Travel pharmacy experience required.
• Experience in retail, hospital, or mail order pharmacy settings.
• Strong knowledge of chemotherapy, hazardous drug handling, compounding, sterile technique, and therapeutic medication monitoring.
• Ability to support clinical dosing, IV piggyback, IV push medications, renal dosing, and pharmacokinetic dosing.
• Required submission documents include a skills checklist and 2 references, including one from a supervisor, manager, or charge RN within the last year.
• All time off must be disclosed at time of submission.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, verify, and dispense medications in an inpatient oncology pharmacy environment.
• Support safe and accurate chemotherapy and hazardous drug workflows.
• Perform clinical review and medication monitoring for adult patients.
• Collaborate with pharmacy, nursing, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure efficient patient care.
• Apply clinical knowledge to dosing, compounding, and sterile preparation processes.
• Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and compliance in daily hospital pharmacy operations.
• Contribute to timely medication access for a busy inpatient unit.
• Adapt to rotating start times and provide dependable coverage throughout the assignment.

• Shift Start Times: Rotating start times of 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, and 9:30 AM
• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Orientation: 8 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,670 - $2,870
• Setting: Hospital inpatient pharmacy with oncology infusion focus
• Patient Population: Adults
• Volume: Approximately 120 visits per day
• Scheduling Type: Block scheduling

Job Requirements
