- Shift: Night shift, 10-hour schedule
- Schedule: Block schedule with weeknight and weekend coverage; every other weekend required
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,600 - $2,790
- Orientation: Provided prior to start
- Charting System: Meditech experience required
- Work Environment: Busy inpatient setting with a broad age range, including neonates through geriatrics
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience required
- Active Missouri State Pharmacy License required; pending license may be accepted if in process
- Pharmacy certification required
- BLS preferred
- Meditech experience required
- Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy, acute care pharmacy, and medication safety practices
- Experience with dosing, sterile technique, IV preparation, and medication dispensing systems preferred
- Ability to work independently overnight as the sole pharmacy staff member on shift
- Comfort managing clinical alerts and supporting pharmacy operations in a fast-paced hospital environment
Responsibilities
- Verify medication orders and ensure safe, accurate dispensing for inpatient care
- Respond to clinical alerts and support pharmacokinetic, renal, and other dosing adjustments
- Perform dosing support for anticoagulation, geriatric, pediatric, cardiac, and high-alert medications
- Prepare and review IV medications, including antibiotics, compounding, and IV piggyback therapies
- Support pharmacotherapy management for cardiovascular, endocrine, infectious disease, pulmonary, and renal conditions
- Utilize medication storage and dispensing systems such as Pyxis and unit dose workflows
- Maintain a high level of accuracy while working independently during night shifts
- Collaborate with the care team to promote safe medication use across multiple patient populations
