Job summary

GHR Travel Nursing is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week travel contract in Ephrata, PA. The role supports an acute-care hospital team, with day shifts and a 8-hour schedule, joining an interdisciplinary care approach to ensure safe medication therapy.

The position requires 2+ years of inpatient or acute-care experience, PA license, RPh credential, and EPIC Beacon/Pyxis proficiency. The assignment offers a tobacco-free, fragrance-free facility with potential variations to a 4x10 shift

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent pharmacist experience, preferably inpatient or acute-care hospital.
• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license in hand before start date.
• Current Registered Pharmacist (RPh) credential.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• EPIC Beacon experience required.
• Pyxis experience required.
• Experience with electronic medication documentation and computerized pharmacy systems.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense inpatient medication orders accurately and efficiently.
• Provide clinical dosing, pharmacokinetic dosing, and therapeutic monitoring.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy.
• Prepare and verify IV piggyback and IV push medications per standards.
• Support medication reconciliation and drug information requests.
• Document clinical interventions in EPIC Beacon and related systems.
• Use Pyxis and other pharmacy tech to support secure medication distribution.
• Participate in compounding and other inpatient pharmacy services as assigned.

Travel Pharmacist Job Details

Inpatient Pharmacist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent pharmacist experience, preferably in an inpatient or acute-care hospital setting
• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license in hand before the start date
• Current Registered Pharmacist (RPh) credential
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• EPIC Beacon experience required

• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and medication-safety skills
• Willingness to complete required pre-start learning modules

Inpatient Pharmacist Responsibilities
