Job summary

GHR Travel Nursing is seeking a Travel Hospital Pharmacist to join an on-site inpatient acute care team in Lebanon, PA for a 13-week assignment. You’ll support neonatal through geriatric patients in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders, dosing, sterile compounding, using EPIC Beacon and Pyxis, and collaborating with physicians and nurses. Pennsylvania license and BEACON experience required.

Travel Hospital Pharmacist - Inpatient Acute Care | Lebanon, Pennsylvania

Join an on-site inpatient pharmacy team as a Hospital Pharmacist and provide safe, effective medication therapy in an acute care hospital in Lebanon, PA. This 13-week travel pharmacist assignment supports neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults while offering competitive weekly pay in Central Pennsylvania. Lebanon offers a welcoming small-city setting with convenient access to local parks, dining, and the surrounding attractions of Pennsylvania's scenic heartland.

Travel Pharmacist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,740-$2,940
• Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania
• Healthcare Setting: On-site hospital inpatient and acute care pharmacy
• Start Date: November 9, 2026
• Assignment End Date: February 8, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 40 hours per week
• Pharmacist Shift: 8-hour day shifts, generally between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.; typical hours are 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
• Weekend Coverage: Every third or fourth Saturday, approximately 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
• Holidays: As needed
• Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatric patients, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Daily Census: Approximately 120 patients

Hospital Pharmacist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience, preferably in an inpatient or acute care setting
• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license in hand before the start of the assignment
• Current pharmacy credentials appropriate for practicing as a pharmacist in Pennsylvania
• EPIC Beacon experience required
• Pyxis experience required
• Experience with inpatient medication management, including antibiotics, anticoagulation, high-alert medications, sterile technique, compounding, clinical dosing, renal dosing, pharmacokinetic dosing, pediatric dosing, and warfarin dosing
• Ability to support medication therapy for a broad patient population, including pediatric and adult patients
• Ability to comply with applicable health-system, pharmacy, and travel assignment requirements

Inpatient Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely inpatient pharmacy services in an acute care hospital environment
• Review medication orders for appropriateness, safety, compatibility, dosing, interactions, and other clinical considerations
• Perform clinical dosing and pharmacokinetic assessments, including renal and pediatric dosing when appropriate
• Prepare, compound, and verify medications using sterile technique and established medication safety procedures
• Manage and monitor antibiotics, anticoagulants, high-alert medications, and other complex medication therapies
• Use EPIC Beacon and Pyxis to document, verify, dispense, and manage medications
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Support safe medication practices and maintain compliance with applicable pharmacy standards
