Qualifications

• Current pharmacist licensure in the applicable state(s).

Responsibilities

• Fulfills all legal and regulatory requirements, including evaluation, selection, procurement and distribution of drugs, counseling and professional consultation
• Interprets physician medication orders
• Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications and related products for patient care
• Operates automated dispensing machines, Laminar Flow Hoods and compounding equipment
• Represents the hospital and PharmD on Demand professionally
• Maintains customer confidentiality
• Complies with organizational policies regarding ethical business practices
• Exhibits sound judgment and interacts effectively with diverse individuals
• Maintains professionalism, uses time efficiently

Job Description

We're seeking an experienced pharmacist to join our team at Appling Healthcare System in Baxley, GA on an as needed basis (PRN). The ideal candidate is someone who works well in a team environment, detail-oriented, strong communication skills, and problem-solving skills. This position offers a competitive pay rate, with potential adjustments based on experience and qualifications, as well as the opportunity for advancement, employee recognition, and team collaboration.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Fulfills all legal and regulatory requirements, including evaluation, selection, procurement and distribution of drugs, counseling and professional consultation
• Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations as well as policies of the hospital and PharmD on Demand
• Interprets physician medication orders
• Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals and related products for patient care by performing related duties
• Utilizes pharmaceutical equipment to include automated dispensing machines, Laminar Flow Hoods and compounding equipment.
• Represents the hospital and PharmD on Demand in a positive and professional manner
• Maintains customer confidentiality at all times
• Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices
• Exercises sound judgment in decision-making
• Interacts effectively with diverse individuals
• Maintains professionalism in all situations
• Uses time effectively and efficiently

Position Requirements

• Current pharmacist licensure in the applicable state(s)

Schedule Details

• One day a week 8:00am-4:00pm
  • would be cross trained for retail and hospital pharmacy
• Additional shifts may be available as workload permits
