Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for Hospital Patrol on the Afternoon Shift in Overland Park, KS. This unarmed role focuses on protecting patients, staff, and visitors while maintaining a welcoming, service-oriented environment.

You will monitor assigned areas, perform campus patrols, and respond to incidents, ensuring safety and compliance with hospital policies, with an emphasis on customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Hospital vaccines are required.
• Must work in a hospital environment including the morgue.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following security procedures and hospital policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly, document details, and coordinate with first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; report suspicious behavior and policy concerns.
• Assist with de-escalation and provide general information to patients, visitors, and staff.
