Job summary

Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring Patient Transporters for Advent Health Tampa, FL. Roles include full-time and part-time shifts with pay at $15.00 per hour. No prior experience is required; schedules include early morning shifts from 5:30 am to 2:30 pm or 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Qualifications

• No prior experience is required.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Certain positions may require Florida Level 2 background screening.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients, equipment, and related items to their destinations.
• Use wheelchairs and approved rolling stock as needed for patient transport.
• Demonstrate competency in transporting patients across all age groups.
• Ensure timely and accurate transport using proper equipment and routes.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, clinicians, and dispatch.
• Ensure patient comfort and privacy; engage appropriately with patients.
• Alert nursing staff to distress or equipment issues immediately.
• Maintain and report on equipment needing repairs.
• Follow regulatory standards including federal, state, and JCAHO.
• Protect patient confidentiality per HIPAA policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
