Arnot Health is seeking a dedicated Sitter to provide observation to patients requiring continuous monitoring at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. You will perform routine daily observations to support patient safety under the direction of a professional nurse.

Responsibilities include remaining at the patient’s side with visibility, ensuring privacy, assisting with feeding as delegated, and promptly reporting concerns to the RN. A High school diploma is required and BLS CPR within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.

Responsabilités

• Observes the patient and informs the nurse immediately if the patient expresses any idea or intention to hurt self/others or leave without physician’s permission.
• Remains in the patient’s room with an unobstructed view of the patient.
• Turns on/off or adjusts the station or volume on a radio or television only at the patient’s request.
• Ensures that the patient’s dignity is preserved: patient is covered, curtains pulled, door adjusted to provide privacy.
• Feeds patients upon assessment and delegation by an RN.
