Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Hospitality Associate, Patient Services to support patient meals and staff with timely, safe, and nourishing dining experiences. You will collaborate with nurses and kitchen staff to meet dietary needs and ensure accuracy of orders and patient information.

Responsibilities include assembling trays per diet cards, delivering meals warm and garnished, and maintaining clean service areas while observing sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous food service experience and/or training preferred.
• On-the-job training available.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with hospital staff to ensure meals are provided to patients per dietary needs.
• Verify patient name, room number, food order, preferences, and allergies.
• Assemble trays on time according to diet cards.
• Deliver meals warm and correctly garnished to the right patient.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dishes and prep areas.
• Record temperatures and assist cook during plating.
• Label and date items in inventory.
