Job summary

Riverside Health in Newport News, VA is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to assist with patient care in a full-time day shift (7am-7pm). The role supports RN/LPN and focuses on safety, cleanliness, and accurate documentation within unit plans. Must have CNA or acceptable alternative licenses and be able to follow care plans under supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience 1 year in acute health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of technology systems for patient data collection.
• Explains accountability for ensuring availability of resources to support patient outcomes.
• Maintains clean, safe and orderly work/patient environment; stocks supplies and stores equipment.
• Follow plan of care and perform treatments under RN/LPN supervision (e.g., enemas, vital signs, perineal care).
• Follow plans of care to ensure ethical care, privacy, and compliance with legal standards; complete required documentation.
• Participate in training and support of team members, volunteers and students as needed.
