Job summary

East Brook Animal Hospital, part of National Veterinary Associates, is seeking a results-driven Hospital Manager to lead our expanding team and drive the hospital's performance.

As Hospital Manager you will partner with the Managing Veterinarian to ensure excellent patient care, superior client service, and profitable operations, with on-site work required to oversee daily activities and staff, scheduling, budgets, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in a managerial role, including customer service experience.
• Experience in a hospital, retail, or service-based industry setting a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the hospital P&L and drive performance.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to forecast needs and trends.
• Manage accounts receivable and hospital costs.
• Oversee inventory, payroll, and labor scheduling to control costs.
• Champion best practices and lead the team to improve workflows and patient care.

East Brook Animal Hospital is actively seeking a results-driven Manager to lead our expanding team! If this sounds like you and you have a background in veterinary medicine management (preferred) or retail, services, hospitality, human healthcare, or consumer services, we want to hear from you!

As a Hospital Manager, you will be an essential part of the hospital management team, collaborating closely with the Managing Veterinarian to ensure the efficient and profitable operation of the hospital. Your role will drive revenue, manage costs, and cultivate a hospital culture focused on top-notch patient care and exceptional customer service. You will oversee the planning and coordination of hospital operations while creating a supportive and cohesive team environment. Given the managerial responsibilities and the need for in-person interaction with clients and employees, regular on-site attendance is a fundamental requirement for this position.

Responsibilities

• Complete ownership of P&L, accountable for the hospital's performance
• Collaborate with regional leadership to identify trends and forecast the hospital's needs
• Manage accounts receivable
• Oversee hospital inventory and control facility and administrative costs
• Manage payroll for hospital staff
• Develop the hospital schedule and manage labor costs
• Champion change and identify, document, share, and promote best practices
• Lead the hospital team to enhance processes and workflows, covering client service, operations, and administrative tasks
• Implement new technologies and initiatives to improve operational efficiency
• Establish and drive the culture of the hospital
• Track and maintain current licensures for all DVMs
• Provide feedback and handle challenging conversationsDemonstrate and reinforce the highest level of client service

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in a managerial role, including customer service experience
• Experience in a hospital, retail, or service‑based industry setting in positions of increased responsibility is a plus
