Job summary

Northpark Animal Hospital is seeking a dynamic Hospital Manager to drive revenue, manage costs, and cultivate a culture focused on exceptional patient care and customer service. This role requires on-site presence and close collaboration with the Managing Veterinarian to ensure efficient and profitable operation.

You will oversee scheduling, payroll, inventory, and labor costs while championing process improvements and the adoption of new technologies to enhance efficiency and client experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in business or related field.
  • 3–5 years of managerial experience with customer service.
  • Experience in hospital, retail, or service-based industry a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own P&L and be accountable for hospital performance.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to forecast needs.
  • Manage accounts receivable.
  • Oversee hospital inventory and control costs.
  • Manage payroll for staff.
  • Develop the hospital schedule and labor costs.
  • Champion change and promote best practices.
  • Lead the team to improve processes across client service and operations.
  • Implement new technologies and initiatives to improve efficiency.
  • Establish and drive hospital culture.
  • Track licensures for all DVMs.
  • Provide feedback and handle challenging conversations.
  • Demonstrate top-tier client service.

The Opportunity:

As a Hospital Manager, you will be an essential part of the hospital management team, collaborating closely with the Managing Veterinarian to ensure the efficient and profitable operation of the hospital. Your role will drive revenue, manage costs, and cultivate a hospital culture focused on top-notch patient care and exceptional customer service. You will oversee the planning and coordination of hospital operations while creating a supportive and cohesive team environment. Given the managerial responsibilities and the need for in-person interaction with clients and employees, regular on-site attendance is a fundamental requirement for this position.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete ownership of P&L, accountable for the hospital's performance
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to identify trends and forecast the hospital's needs
  • Manage accounts receivable
  • Oversee hospital inventory and control facility and administrative costs
  • Manage payroll for hospital staff
  • Develop the hospital schedule and manage labor costs
  • Champion change and identify, document, share, and promote best practices
  • Lead the hospital team to enhance processes and workflows, covering client service, operations, and administrative tasks
  • Implement new technologies and initiatives to improve operational efficiency
  • Establish and drive the culture of the hospital
  • Track and maintain current licensures for all DVMs
  • Provide feedback and handle challenging conversations
  • Demonstrate and reinforce the highest level of client service
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in a managerial role, including customer service experience
  • Experience in a hospital, retail, or service-based industry setting in positions of increased responsibility is a plus
