Job summary

St Anthony North Hospital is seeking an Nutrition Assistant I to support healthcare foodservice operations and ensure efficient, patient-centered nutrition care. You will work with facility staff to meet dietary and wellness needs, providing excellent customer service to patients, guests, and staff.

Responsibilities include monitoring temperatures, labeling, preparing and serving meals, cashiering, and maintaining cleanliness and inventory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• For state health rules, obtain a Food Handler Permit within 30 days if required by local code.

Responsibilities

• Follow healthcare foodservice industry standards and regulations, including monitoring food temperatures and preventing cross-contamination.
• Maintain proper labeling and storage protocols for all food products and equipment.
• Prepare and serve food based on menu and dietary requirements, addressing allergy requests.
• Ensure high-quality customer experience by proper meal portioning and presentable plating.
• Perform cashiering, retail service, cold food preparation, and tray delivery and retrieval.
• Complete utility and maintenance tasks, dishwashing, catering support, inventory management, and cleaning.
