Job summary

UC Irvine Health is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) Per Diem in the Department of Specialty Care Associates, focusing on Hospital Medicine. The PA will work independently within a team, performing comprehensive patient care in ambulatory or inpatient settings and coordinating multi-disciplinary care with physicians, nurses, and staff.

The role requires ARC-PA accredited PA training, CA PA licensure, NCCPA certification, NPI, and DEA registrations, plus strong communication and privacy

Qualifications

• Completing a physician assistant training program accredited by ARC-PA.
• Licensure through the California Physician Assistant Board.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) and Medicare requirements for billing.

Responsibilities

• Participate in comprehensive patient care in ambulatory or inpatient settings.
• Provide multi-disciplinary care coordination, education, monitoring and communication with patients and referring physicians.
• Coordinate with Hospital Medicine teams and applicable policies.
