Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health’s Lahey Hospital Medicine Advanced Practice (AP) Fellowship is a 12-month postgraduate program to develop early-career APPs, including NPs and PAs, new to hospital-based medicine.

Fellows work under preceptors to build clinical decision-making skills, manage diverse patient populations, and participate in didactic classes and educational experiences throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program or a Masters in Nursing for NP track.
• Current registration/licensure in Massachusetts and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess acute and chronic illnesses and perform full histories and physical exams.
• Order, interpret tests; formulate and implement diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Rotate through day, swing and night shifts and participate in didactic sessions.

Education

Physician Assistant: Graduate of an accredited Physician Program

Nurse Practitioner: Masters Program in Nursing (AGACNP preferred)
