Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a full-time Medication Transport Technician to deliver medications safely and accurately within Grant Medical Center. This day shift role emphasizes punctuality, proper body mechanics, and compliance with all policies.

This is not a driving position; staff transport meds throughout the hospital. Responsibilities include collaborating with care teams, documenting deliveries, stocking medications, and maintaining inventory integrity while upholding patient safety and service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience with product tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• 30% Care of Patients: Ensures safe, timely and accurate transport of medications to the proper destination; prioritizes transport requests; uses proper body mechanics; documents delivery processes; stocks/returns medications to inventory locations.
• 30% Customer Service: Arrives on time; adheres to scheduling; complies with policies; provides prompt and courteous telephone response; assists co-workers with tasks and scheduling; follows laws for storage, security, disposal and recordkeeping of drugs.
• 15% Information Management: Operates pharmacy information and automated systems; reports problems with computers or printers; communicates issues with supervisors; processes reports timely and accurately.
• 15% Improving Performance: Participates in performance initiatives to improve patient outcomes; monitors stock areas for returns/expiration; uses resources cost-effectively; supports leadership and teamwork.
• 10% Environment of Care: Completes training; maintains a safe work environment; reports hazards, accidents, and incidents; follows reporting policies.
